After completing a Bachelor in Hospitality Management and working in the hospitality industry for 13 years in various roles, Deborah commenced working in the legal profession.
Deborah commenced her legal career at Hunt & Hunt in Darwin, where she worked as a paralegal in the busy commercial department whilst studying law part time. Deborah was admitted to the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 2013 after completing her Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, which she completed with distinction. Deborah is now also admitted in the Supreme Court of South Australia.
Throughout Deborah’s studies she has received various awards. Deborah was a member of the Territory Taxation Administration Liaison Committee for approximately 8 years, liaising with the Territory Revenue Office on stamp duty matters. She was also a volunteer for the Darwin Community Legal Services.
Whilst highly competent in assisting clients on various matters, her main background is in commercial law, particularly conveyancing and commercial leasing. Deborah has been involved in many large commercial conveyancing matters, including the conveyance of multi-million dollar commercial properties, pastoral and agricultural land, conveyance of off-the-plan properties, acting for both developers and purchasers, as well as standard residential conveyances. Deborah also acted for the NT Government and Defence Housing Australia and in particular had conduct of the conveyancing for the suburb of Muirhead.
Deborah has a strong client base and is well known for her competency, attention to detail and ability to communicate with her clients and other members of the profession to achieve the best outcome for her clients.
Deborah serves the community of Victor Harbor and surrounding areas.
